Cab 2 Go – Terms and Conditions of Service

Please note: All calls to our office are recorded for quality, training, and monitoring purposes.

1. Application of Terms & Services
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and service contracts made verbally, digitally, or in writing with Cab 2 Go.

The hirer (customer) is responsible for the actions and decisions of all passengers on board, including any additional costs incurred during the journey, whether or not the hirer personally travels with the party.

All bookings taken by Cab 2 Go are accepted on behalf of licensed subcontracted drivers who have agreed to complete your journey. Cab 2 Go reserves the right to provide a substitute vehicle from a partner or sister fleet to complete service obligations.

2. Quotations, Fares & Surcharges
Quotations: All quotations are subject to vehicle availability at the time of acceptance and are valid for 7 days unless specified otherwise. Quotations are given for taxi & driver only. Verbal and written quotations are for pick-up to final destination; any variations will be charged accordingly.

Minimum Fares & Vehicle Rates:

Minimum standard fare: £7.00 for the first mile.

7 & 8-seater vehicles are charged at standard fare × 2 (Minimum fare: £14.00).

Payment Terms: All fares over £40.00 must be paid in advance by credit or debit card.

Extra Drop-offs / Pick-ups: Additional passenger pick-ups or drop-offs not included in the original booking are charged at £5.00 per event for standard vehicles and £10.00 per event for 7 & 8-seater vehicles.

Airport Charges & External Fees: Parking charges incurred on collections from major UK airports are charged at cost in addition to the fare. Please check the relevant airport’s website for parking rates.

Tariffs & Operational Surcharges: Published tariffs on the website are for guidance only and are subject to ongoing review. Fares will be confirmed during the telephone booking process, followed by an SMS booking notification (dependent on network signal). If more than 28 days elapse between quotation and departure date, the company reserves the right to pass on increases in fuel costs or government charges.

3. Arrival Notifications, Waiting Times & Airport Collections
Driver Alerts: An SMS notification will be sent when your vehicle arrives at your pick-up point (dependent on network signal). For airport pick-ups, your driver will contact you via Text, WhatsApp, or phone call.

Standard Waiting Time: The first 10 minutes from the arrival of the taxi is free. Thereafter, waiting time is charged at 40p per minute.

Airport Waiting Time: The first hour of waiting following flight arrival at any airport is included in the fare. After the first hour, we reserve the discretionary right to charge waiting time at 40p per minute plus parking costs at cost. Customers are requested to contact the office if they are aware of any flight delays.

Arrival Reliability: We will only commit to realistic arrival times based on traffic conditions and fleet positioning at the time of booking. Cab 2 Go will communicate with customers to advise of any delays that may occur.

4. Vehicle Use, Capacity & Route
Use of Vehicle: The hirer cannot assume use of the vehicle between outward and return journeys, nor that it will remain at the destination, unless agreed upon prior to travel. Additional time or mileage will be charged pro rata.

Seating Capacity: The maximum number of passengers allowed is indicated on the vehicle. Standing passengers are strictly prohibited, and drivers will not carry passengers over legal seating capacity.

Vehicle Size: The company reserves the right to provide a larger vehicle than the size hired at no additional charge.

Route: Unless specified on the booking confirmation, the route taken is at the discretion of the company and/or driver. The vehicle will depart at agreed times, and it is the hirer’s responsibility to account for all passengers.

5. Passenger Conduct, Safety & Vehicle Soilage
Safety Authority: The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Passengers whose conduct breaches statutory regulations will be removed on the driver’s authority.

Prohibited Items & Habits:

No Smoking: All taxis are strictly non-smoking.

No Alcohol: Under no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be carried on or consumed upon the vehicle.

Damages & Valeting Fees: The hirer is responsible for all damages caused to the vehicle by passengers. A valeting charge will be levied for any soiling in vehicles. Current cleaning costs are clearly displayed in all vehicles.

6. Cancellations & Property Liability
Cancellations: If the hirer cancels the booking before 1 day (24 hours) of the contract date, no charges will be made and any deposit will be returned. A £25 fee is payable for cancellations made within less than 24 hours.

Cancellation by Company: In an emergency or due to actions by the hirer to vary agreed conditions, the company may return all monies paid and cancel the contract without further liability.

Luggage & Property: Luggage is subject to statutory safety restrictions, and the driver is the sole judge of luggage capacity. The company accepts no liability for loss or damage to property left in the vehicle. Found property will be surrendered to the nearest police station for the hirer to retrieve.

Animals: Animals will not be carried unless booked in advance, with the exception of Guide/Assistance Dogs (please state at booking if a guide dog is travelling).

7. Delays, Insurance & Complaints
Breakdown or Delay: Journey advice is given in good faith, but completion times are not guaranteed. The company is not liable for inconvenience or loss caused by breakdown, traffic congestion, or delay.

Insurance: Passengers are recommended to obtain travel insurance for items where company liability is limited (such as delays or personal luggage).

Complaints Procedure: Complaints must be made within 7 days of the date of hire in writing to:

Customer Services, 71 High Street, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, BS9 3ED. No compensation will be paid out from our company for any reason.

English Law: Orders are accepted under the Law of England and Wales, and any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in England.
